Description

Maybe it was because it's my first beat 'em up in decades, or maybe because I was given some form of a challenge after the casual Astral Chain (Yes, even post game...) But I can safely say I enjoyed this title quite a bit, although it's far from being perfect unfortunately. This game got some serious hitbox issues during boss fights, and here are two cropped examples from the final fights (don't click if you don't want spoilers): https://i.imgur.com/dIah0zS.png https://i.imgur.com/N7SO9Rv.png As you can see, those were taken one frame after I took a hit, and pretty much every boss had one bullshit or another I had to adjust myself to. This made me wonder if QA actually exists in the genre, or they just fell asleep on this one? Anyway.. the art, the music, the quirky dialogues, the modernized nostalgia, and even the simple gameplay made it all an experience worth having. --------------------------------------------- Timestamps ---------------------------------------- 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘂𝘇𝘂: 01:24 - Intro 02:35 - Fight 𝗬𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮: 05:37 - Intro 09:06 - Fight 𝗛𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗶: 12:16 - Intro 13:58 - Fight 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝗯𝗼: 18:37 - Intro 20:02 - Fight 𝗡𝗼𝗶𝘇𝗲: 23:44 - Intro 26:33 - Fight 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗼: 31:22 - Intro 32:51 - Fight 𝗠𝗮𝗺𝗶 & 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗯𝗲: 37:48 - Intro 38:39 - Fight --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On a completely different note (blog post warning): I mentioned Astral Chain at the beginning. Which was a decent game, but I'm a bit conflicted about showcasing it due to how repetitive it is and how you gotta start a new file if you want to fight all bosses again on equal terms.... yeah, I don't really have time for that again. It also taught me to never touch 3D action games on console ever again, since I couldn't bring my gameplay potential to its fullest with how restrictive it was without a proper KBM support (my Gamesir could only emulate it so much) and without a stable 60 FPS or higher. Just further proof for me personally how consoles are nothing more than exclusives cash cows, and no game has a right to not exist on PC either. Especially since they are developed on them to begin with. End of rant!
